Grand Solmar @ Rancho San Lucas is a new resort enclave sitting on Baja’s Pacific coast, just outside of Cabo San Lucas. At the resort members will be treated to spacious suites, attentive service, and a host of on-site amenities such as pools, restaurants, and shopping. There are also many outdoor features at the resort, including a community park, 15 miles of walking and biking trails, and a beautiful 18-hole golf course. With so much to choose from members will have no problem filling their vacation days.
One of the main attractions that brings visitors to Los Cabos every year is the world class golf courses, and Grand Solmar @ Rancho San Lucas members have one of the best in the region at their disposal. Designed by the legendary Greg Norman, the golf course at Grand Solmar @ Rancho San Lucas features the Shark’s signature contoured greens defended by treacherous bunkers. Each hole of the course has been meticulously crafted by Mr. Norman to offer a challenge to golfers of all skill levels, while still being a fun course to play a casual round. While every hole on the course features spectacular views of the desert and ocean, Grand Solmar @ Rancho San Lucas members will find the 17th hole, with its island green, particularly pleasing. And the lake on the 17th provides more than just aesthetic value; it’s a key part of the course irrigation system. Speaking of irrigation, the course at Grand Solmar @ Rancho San Lucas uses Paspalum grass, rather than the more common Bermuda grass, because it has a high saline tolerance, meaning it can be watered with seawater. This fits in with both Mr. Norman and the resort developers’ philosophy of sustainable development practices.
